Located in the center of it all, just 10 miles from DC and 9 miles from Reagan National Airport, the Hawthorn Suites Alexandria is Home Base for Your Marathon Trip.

Parking is ample and free and the hotel is located just 1 ½  miles from the Van Dorn Metro Station. The hotel offers a complimentary shuttle service which can provide transportation to/from the Van Dorn Metro Station, please contact the Front Desk for availability.

GETTING TO THE HOTEL - BY CAR
From North:

From DC:
Take I-395 south to Exit 3A, Duke Street East. Proceed 1/4 mile to Van Dorn St. Exit. Turn left at light, hotel is on left.

From South:
From Springfield, VA and points south. Take I-95 north. Continue onto I-395 North towards DC. Take Exit 3A, Duke Street East. Proceed 1.4 mile to Van Dorn St Exit. Turn left at light, hotel is on the left.

From East:
From Maryland and Points East. Take I-495 to Van Dorn St Exit. Turn left at light. Proceed 1.5 miles, hotel on left.

From West:
From Fairfax, VA and points West - Take I-66 to I-495 South. Proceed 6 miles to Van Dorn St exit. Turn left at light, hotel is on the left.

From Airport:
From Reagan National Airport - DCA. I-395 South to Exit 3A/Duke Street East, proceed 1/4 mile to Van Dorn Street Exit. At light make a left on to Van Dorn Street. Hotel is 1/4 mile on left.

From I-495:
From I-495. Take Van Dorn St. exit. Turn left at light. Proceed 1.5 miles, hotel on left.

From Bethesda, NW:
From Bethesda, MD and points NW. Take I-270 to I-495. Exit I-495 South towards Virginia. Proceed 20 miles to Van Dorn St exit. Turn left at light, proceed 1.5 miles, hotel is on left.
